Manhattan Beach Open will celebrate its 53rd year this year this volley ball event will be the second of seven tour stops with the Volleyball Professional (AVP) the competition offers $200,000 in prize money. This event is considered to be the Wimbledon of Beach Volleyball. On August 22 there will be a walk of fame red carpet ceremony at the Manhattan Beach Pier to honor last year’s winners. There is no official Hermosa Beach open tournament scheduled this year but Hermosa Beach will host the West Coast Championships August 16th-18th.
