‘Tis the season for beaches and acai bowls, so what better way to have both simultaneously than in the South Bay? There really is nothing like slurping on an ice cold blend of fresh fruit while dipping your toes in the soft sand. If you’re in the area, make sure you try at least one of these three hot spots for acai bowls this summer.
Paradise Bowls – Luckily, there are two locations: one in Hermosa and Manhattan! You can choose from an acai or pitaya bowl, or a smoothie if you’re feeling a little plain. The smallest size starts at 16 oz, which is just enough to fill you up for more than just a couple hours. The best part is, you can customize your bowl to your liking whether you want coconut or not, chocolate, granola, or gogi berries.
Natureba Brazilian Juice Bar – Located in Redondo Beach, there are five great acai bowl options for you to choose from. Sometimes plain and simple is the way to go because that way, you don’t have too much to think about. Go with the traditional bowl if you’re craving banana and guarana, the berry bowl for strawberry, banana, and guarana, or the pro bowl for chocolate protein, mango, strawberry, banana, AND guarana! Wow.

SuperBowl Acai – Also located in Redondo, this place has a menu item like no other. We’re all used to seeing acai served in a bowl, but here you can get it in a cone! You can add any toppings for an additional cost including banana, strawberry, mango, blueberry, pineapple, peach, coconut, chocolate bits, granola, honey, or peanut butter. The options are limitless here.
