Halloween is over and now we’re all looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner at the end of this month (you know you are!). But until then, here is an event for a good cause, and to help walk off all the trick-or-treat candy you may or may not have consumed. Consider taking the time this Saturday, November 4th on the Hermosa Beach Pier Plaza to honor and remember loved ones as the National Brain Tumor Society is hosting a walk to raise awareness and resources to fund critical brain tumor-specific programs.

With $68,354.11 already raised in progress to their $150,000.00 goal, it will be a day full of festivities as the fun will start up after registration at 9am. A survivor will share their personal journey and a group photo at the stage will be held prior to walking, then water and snacks will be passed out to participants up and down the Hermosa Beach Strand during the 5K.

Afterwards, the day will further consist of a silent auction, a guest research speaker, and challenges and prizes. All contributions will be greatly appreciated in efforts to improve the lives of those affect by brain tumors, so come walk it out on the pier to celebrate and educate with the National Brain Tumor Society!
